Current Position: Lecturer, Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital

Biography: Dr Ritesh Shrestha qualified his MBBS from Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital in 2005. Then after completing one year internship, he worked at Nepal Orthopedic Hospital as medical officer for two years. He then joined Master in Surgery in Kathmandu University and completed MS (General surgery) in 2012 with honors. He joined Nepal Medical College, Department of pediatric surgery as lecturer in July 2012. After gaining two years working experience, he went to Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi for Pediatric Surgery Fellowship and completed it in 2015. He was awarded with BAPS Hugh Greenwood Fellowship 2017 and got an opportunity to visit St. Georges Hospital, London as an observer.

Currently, he is serving pediatric surgical patients at Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital and also working as an active volunteer in “Health Partnership Nepal”, a UK based organization which conducts free Surgical Camp every year at Rural Nepal.
