Children's Programme
We have put together a draft programme for those family members who need to fill their time while the congress is in progress! This is an informal programme.
Thursday 22 July: Story Book Glen
This is a magical world of make-believe and fun for children (and adults) of all ages, set amidst 28 acres of spectacular scenic beauty on Royal Deeside. See more than 100 of your favourite nursery rhyme and fairytale characters. Enjoy exquisite flowers and plants, majestic trees, secret waterfalls, exotic animals and fairytale houses. There is a large free car park, garden centre and restaurant. Picnics are not permitted in the park, but you can picnic on a grassy area in front of the main entrance.
If there is enough interest, we may be able to arrange transport.
Friday 23 July: Satrosphere
This a ten minute walk from the city centre. Satrosphere Science Centre is Scotland's first science and discovery centre, and first opened to the public in 1988. The centre has over 50 hands-on interactive exhibits and live science shows, which inspire the scientist within as well as entertain the whole family. There is a cafe and a free car park. Satrosphere is not far from the beach esplanade.
Saturday 24 July: Martime museum - city centre location, another free museum with cafe
