University of Cambridge, 27th November 2014

The subject of the 2014 meeting of Pespos will be Necrotizing enterocolitis – a current surgical and clinical update.

Acute abdominal conditions in the newborn, like NEC, is a well known disease in the newborn period.  The outcome is very much dependent on the severity of the disease as well as the child’s prerequisite. During these two days we want to go beyond our own knowledge and discuss the problems and pitfalls within this disease from several perspectives.  Amongst many specialties we’ve invited neonatologists, gastroenterologists, paediatric surgeons and nursery staff to widen our views.

This two day conference will be held at the University of Cambridge and will cover the topics of NEC, Intestinal failure and Bowel transplantation.
