Advancing paediatric surgery through education and research

Council Meeting, January 2019

24 Jan

3:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Keble Room, Oxford Belfry Hotel

Milton Common Thame, Oxfordshire, OX9 2JW, 24th January 2019

We have traditionally held two Council Meetings a year. We have been listening to Members feedback and in response, we have taken two major steps. The first is to rename the meetings, removing the confusion as to who can attend. The second is to change the format to make the meetings more focussed and interactive.

1. The meeting held at the Annual Congress will now be called the Annual General Meeting of BAPS. The half day meeting will be replaced by a shorter format and will focus on debating matters important to the membership. Committee reports will be circulated in writing in advance of the meeting.

2. The Winter Members meeting will be the forum for verbal updates from all BAPS Committee Chairs and will be a 2 hour format to allow adequate time for discussion. Committee reports will again be circulated in writing in advance of the meeting.

This meeting is open to ALL members of BAPS, both consultants and trainees. The meeting is used to share updates on new BAPS initiatives, news on national agendas that affect Paediatric Surgical Practice and anything else that YOU as members wish to discuss.

Be involved, be active. This is your  Association and works on your behalf.
