BAPS is pleased to offer four scholarships  to overseas surgeons of trainee status who are within two years of consultancy to attend Annual BAPS conference. BAPS scholars are encouraged to prepare a scientific poster which will be displayed alongside other posters in the poster session of the Annual BAPS conference.

The scholarship will cover following expenses:

  1. BAPS Congress Registration
  2. Accomodation which will include up to a maximum of 3 nights around the conference dates (to cover set flight arrival days)
  3. £100 cash to cover breakfasts and the free night

The scholars will be pre-selected by their national /regional specialty associations.

Applications should be made to the Specialty Association of their own country/region - FAPSS (for candidates from SAARC countries) and PAPSA (for candidates from Africa)

Applications for BAPS 2011  are now closed.

Application should include -

1.      Short (2 page) Curriculum Vitae in English

2.      200 word document outlining the reasons why this scholarship would be helpful.

The International Affairs Committee usually WILL NOT ACCEPT any direct applications for scholarships without endorsement of their local paediatric surgical confederation / association.

If you come from a country or region where there is no paediatric surgical association or society which can provide local sponsorship, then International Affairs Committee will be happy to consider an individual application made directly to the International Affairs Committee of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons through the administrative office.
