RCSEng would like to make BAPS members aware of a commissioning guide, that is currently out for consultation until Friday 10th June 2016.

This clinical commissioning guidance on ‘Foreskin Conditions’ has been developed by British Association of Urological Surgeons. The guidance is designed to support the commissioning of high quality services and to provide evidence-based, cost effective care for patients. Commissioning guidance is not intended to replace existing clinical guidelines or systematic reviews of the literature, but rather to present these with information to support commissioning.

The development of this guidance has followed a defined process for which the Royal College of Surgeons and the Surgical Specialty Associations have been accredited by NICE under its NHS Evidence accreditation programme. An essential component of the process is to ensure that draft guidance is subject to peer review and public consultation.

RCSEng would welcome any feedback from BAPS and BAPS members by Friday 10th June 2016.

Please send any comments back to Emma Fernandez ([email protected])or to Marilyn How ([email protected]).
