This study day which will be held at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, will mark the 25th anniversary of the Liver Unit and the 21st anniversary of the small bowel transplant programme.
The meeting will include contributions from our colleagues at the University of Birmingham, and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Many of the speakers are Alumni of the Liver Unit who are returning to share their expertise and experience gained in the UK and internationally.
Who should attend: anyone with an interest in diseases of the liver and intestinal tract including intestinal failure. The subject areas covered are broad and include: oncology, liver surgery, endoscopy, nutrition, immunology, auto-immune disease, adolescent medicine, neuro-developmental outcome, multi-disciplinary team working as well as aspects of organ transplantation and chronic liver disease. Clinicians from general paediatrics as well as sub-specialists and allied health professionals are encouraged to apply – CPD approval is being sought
