16 Dec
Sheffield Children's Hospital
Sheffield, 16th December 2024 - 17th December 2024
The Sheffield Children’s Hospital is hosting a two day Children’s Advanced Trauma (CAT) course. Applications are sought from:
• Doctors in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Paediatric Surgery and Anaesthetics/ PICU.
• Nurses and ODPs who are part of a paediatric trauma team
Applicants must have provider status in APLS (or equivalent) [ATLS is desirable]
Currently there is only capacity to accept applicants from the UK
If you are interested in attending, please complete and return the CAT Course Application 2024 Form.
Applications to the CAT courses are initially placed on a waiting list. As soon as possible, applications are assessed for suitability and if possible confirmed. This process is necessary in order to make up the ‘trauma teams’ that take part in the simulation of the course.
For this reason, it is not possible to confirm places at the time that you apply. When short-listing happens, the limited places are allocated to suitable candidates who are contacted to confirm their place.
If there are no available places for your speciality you will be contacted and given the option of remaining on a mailing list for future courses.
Because the CAT course deals with advanced paediatric trauma management, in some cases candidates may be declined a place. If that occurs, it is still possible to reapply when circumstances change (e.g. more experience).
