Paul Johnson President Elect of EPITA

Congratulations to Paul Johnson, Professor of Paediatric Surgery in Oxford and Director of the Oxford Islet Isolation and Islet Transplant Programmes, who has been appointed President-Elect of the European Pancreas and Islet Transplantation Association (EPITA). EPITA, a section of the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT), represents scientists, physicians, surgeons, technicians, and trainees working in the field of beta cell replacement therapy and regenerative medicine. This includes the clinical areas of whole pancreas and islet-cell transplantation, emerging technologies including 3D organ bioprinting, organoid applications, and stem cell derived therapies for diabetes. Paul will become EPITAs President in 2027.
