This study day, provided by the Royal College of Anaesthetists t will provide updates on new treatments and techniques for both specialist paediatric anaesthetists and non-paediatric anaesthetists who have to look after and manage children in the wider clinical context. This may involve anaesthesia for basic surgery in a district general hospital or stabilisation and preparation of a critically ill child for air ambulance retrieval teams.
Sessions include:
- TIVA for tots
- the paediatric pre-operative assessment clinic
- challenges of anaesthetic management of uncooperative and difficult children
- plus, Dr Rachael Barber sharing her first-hand experiences of managing the injuries of the children affected by the Manchester bombing.
