Advancing paediatric surgery through education and research

Figure 4: CXR showing of a 15 year old boy with a bilateral PSP at presentation. There is a 12 Fr chest drain inserted on the left but neither lung is up and the boy is still symptomatic. Suction was applied at 5-10cm H20 and a chest tube on the other side was inserted. The patient failed clamping of the drain after 3 days and re-accumulated quickly. He underwent bilateral VATS with apicectomies and mechanical pleurodesis (2 port) – one week apart.
