The Division of Paediatric Surgery at the University of Cape Town and Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital will host the XXVIth International Symposium on Paediatric Surgical Research in 2013.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh will host this one day course which aims to help paediatric trainees consolidate the basic surgical skills of knot-tying by hand and instrument. Opportunity will be given to demonstrate proficiency in these skills on an individual basis using formal procedure-based assessments. Laparoscopic tissue handling and suturing skills will be practiced using animal models.

Children's Surgery with Competence and Heart

The 6th Annual Pediatric Colorectal Course 2013 is scheduled for Thursday 10th and Friday 11th October 2013 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

The Lewis Spitz Symposium will include the Simpson Smith Lecture, this year given by Professor Jan Deprest. This annual symposium focuses on aspects of Paediatric Surgery, providing an insight into innovation and current practice, with speakers from the major centres of excellence in the field.

This meeting will be held at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford in the Teaching Suite on Level 2 Children’s Hospital, Oxford University

Strategies and Trends in European Pediatric Surgery (STEPS) organizes annual teaching seminars and workshops.
