This course centres on surgical simulation training, using animal tissue models and plastic jigs. You will also benefit from interactive lectures and discussions, and a high faculty to participant ratio throughout.

This course is designed for consultant general surgeons with a paediatric practice, as well as for trainees who are developing a subspecialty interest in paediatric surgery.

The aim of the course is to enable the candidate to implement the principles of ongoing management of the ciritically ill child, post resuscitation and stabilisation. The BASIC course is APLS on steroids.

This year's Winter Meeting is preceded by our Council Meeting and takes place at Friends Meeting House, London.
