Hepatobiliary

There are currently three supra regional specialist paediatric surgical centres in England and Wales for liver disease. These are:

• Birmingham Children’s Hospital Liver Unit
• Kings College Hospital London
• The Leeds Children’s Hospital

Fortunately, liver disease  in children is rare but we include some information and guidance on conditions we see more commonly including:

• Neonatal jaundice and biliary atresia
• Choledochal Cysts
• Gallstones
• Vascular lesions in the liver
• Pancreatitis
• ​Tumours
