General surgery in childhood is a significant part of our practice irrespective of our subspecialty interest. I am currently involved in developing the delivery of General surgery in childhood at outreach hospitals. The service is changing with the development of the Operational Delivery Networks (ODNs). I will keep the community updated with the latest service delivery strategies and any significant research in the field.
